Large Pear-Shaped Cabochon Paraiba Tourmaline Pendant
A stunning and truly unique pendant, using the very last of Julia's cabochon Paraiba Tourmalines.
The Paraiba Tourmaline was discovered in the Brazilian state of Paraiba in the 1980s, and is among one of the world's most prized gemstones, as well as being the signature stone of Julia's work. The Brazilian mines have since been exhausted, making the Paraiba Tourmaline ever-harder to source. This pendant has been crafted using the last of Julia's cabochon Paraibas - now a vanishingly rare find - making it truly a collector's piece.
A one-of-a-kind stone in the classic 'swimming-pool blue', distinctive of the Brazilian Paraiba. This unique pear-shaped cabochon is set in matte-finished 18-carat gold, accompanied by a round-cut diamond set in 18-carat white gold. Hung with a bi-coloured, pear-shaped pendant loop, and suspended on a solid 18ct yellow gold palmier chain.
Richly textured and sensitively made, this necklace is a classic example of Julia's style and a unique, timeless piece.
You can find more examples of Julia's work with Paraibas in the Paraiba Tourmaline collection.
